Referral and sibling discounts

A Referral and/or sibling discount is applied for each child that you introduce to Arty class (or for a sibling of your child), who joins Arty class for the first time and for a minimum of one term.  The discount doesn't apply if the child you introduce is already on our circulation list.  To redeem the discount, the person registering the child will need to put your original child’s full name on the registration form when they register, under ‘referral’s name’.  We also don't offer refunds; any referral discount applicable after paying the fee can be only used as credit for a future payment. This is a one-time discount and not recurring.

Valuables and dress

We recommend that your child does not bring any valuables (i.e. phones, jewellery etc) with them to class. Arty class does not accept any liability for lost or damaged belongings. Children will be using various art materials and should dress accordingly; we do not accept responsibility for any damage to clothes/shoes. You are giving your consent for the child to use all the different art materials used in the classes.

Medical conditions, additional support needs and allergies

We must be notified in advance of a child starting a class of any relevant medical conditions, additional support needs or allergies in relation to them engaging in our art classes.  Under the Equalities Act 2010 we will do our best to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate each child to participate in our classes.  We are an inclusive organisation and treat everyone well and with respect.  We do not discriminate.  If your child has a higher level of support needs, please discuss with us before they start to see if we are able to accommodate.

Photo and video consent

The parent / child gives us permission to use images or short video reels of artworks produced at our class for promotional purposes, unless it has been agreed otherwise at the time of registration.  Short video reels may include the process of art work being produced or of 3D artwork produced.

Cancellations

There is no refund upon cancellation. A minimum admin charge of £ 15 applies in any case. However if this is your first time with us, we offer a refund for the remaining weeks as long as you let us know your decision to not continue within 48 hours of the first class.

If we have to cancel a class, due to situations beyond our control, we will offer an alternative date to make up for the sessions. This alternative date may be on a different weekday in the current term or the next term.  If we cannot provide an alternative class, a credit will be issued.

Safeguarding

Arty class is responsible for the children once they have been dropped off with a staff member, for the class duration only.  Children should be picked up promptly by the Parent/s, Guardian/s or named adult on their registration form. We must be informed of any alternative arrangements for collection of a child writing by emailing artyclassuk@gmail.com up to 48 hours before the relevant class, or in an emergency via text to 07828 174 592.  Children will not be released to an alternative adult without prior consent from the named parent or guardian.

Any collection by friends, meeting point etc should be discussed with the child before the class starts, so they are aware who they are going with. The teacher may not be aware of alternative arrangements. We will endeavour to let the teacher know to the best of our ability.

Late collection/ missed classes

Arty class reserves the right to charge a late collection fee of £5 per 15 minutes, if the child is not picked up even after 10 minutes, since the class ended.

No refunds are given for classes missed due to student illness/holidays. 

Disruptive behaviour

We reserve the right to exclude students from lessons at our discretion without refunding fees in the case of disruptive behaviour. Verbal and Written warnings will be issued in some circumstances of unacceptable behaviour.

Parking

Arty class is not responsible for parking at any of our venues. People park at these locations at their own risk, and should make themselves aware of any parking restrictions etc.

Staffing

We reserve the right to change the Teacher at any point of time.
